and then there were three...

Distance education is a new thing for me. I spent many years attending university classes, only to find out that the best way to learn is in the comfort of your own home. I hate sitting still and listening. I hate sitting still for long periods of time and getting sleepy. I hate even more the thought of spending long periods of time on a chair made of cheap plastic, in a room full of people, looking at someone who may or may not want to be there, while I scribble notes on a piece of paper. (Notation for me consisted of writing down a few keywords and then doodling for an hour) I did not do well in my classes because I hated being in them. I liked most of my profs, I liked most of my subjects, I just didn't do well.

Distance education has changed that for me. I can take a course, research and work at my own pace and I can sit in front of my Mac, or lay in bed reading and working on assignments. And everything is done on a simple, easy to use web page made just for me. Now that is the way it should have been for my other classes! I was *so* born ten years too early *smile*
